Introduction

Welcome to Dailivity. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe and transparent experience while using our application. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use Dailivity.

Scope of This Policy: iOS and Android

Dailivity is available for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Most of this policy applies to both apps. The one important difference between them is how your records are backed up in the cloud:

• The iOS app stores your data on your device and in your personal iCloud account. Statements that mention iCloud, or that say your data does not pass through our servers, describe the iOS app.
• The Android app stores your data on your device and in a cloud backup that runs on Google Firebase on our behalf. This backup is described in detail in “Android App: Cloud Backup with Google Firebase” below.

Information Collection and Use

What We Collect

Dailivity collects the following data only to provide core health tracking functionality:

Health & Fitness Data

• Medication injection records (dates, times, dosages)
• Side effect notes and observations
• Health metrics you choose to track (such as weight and measurements)
• Personal notes related to your health journey

User-Generated Content

• Custom notes and observations you add within the app
• Text-based content you create for personal tracking purposes

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or contact information
• Location data
• Payment or billing information
• Advertising identifiers (such as IDFA)
• Device identifiers for advertising or tracking purposes

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide app functionality, including:

• Displaying your health and medication history
• Synchronizing data across your devices via iCloud (if enabled)
• Backing up your records to our cloud backup on Google Firebase (Android app)
• Sending medication reminders (if notifications are enabled)
• Displaying estimated medication levels using published pharmacokinetic models (for informational purposes only)
• Presenting insights through charts and visualizations

We do not use your data for:

• Advertising or marketing
• Analytics or user behavior tracking
• Selling, sharing, or transferring data to third parties
• Any purpose unrelated to the app’s core features

Data Storage and Security

Local and iCloud Storage (iOS)

Your data is stored:

1. Locally on your device
2. In your personal iCloud account (if iCloud sync is enabled)

All iCloud data is stored within your private iCloud container. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Data Security (iOS)

• Data synchronization uses industry-standard encryption
• Your data never passes through our servers
• We cannot access, view, or retrieve your personal health information
• Your data is protected by your device security and iCloud account safeguards

Android App: Cloud Backup with Google Firebase

iCloud is not available on Android, so the Android app keeps your records on your device and also copies them automatically to a cloud backup on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). The backup is kept in a database that Google operates for us as a service provider.

What Is Backed Up

• Dose records: date, time, medication, dose, injection site, pain level, and any note you add to a dose
• Your last dose and your next scheduled dose
• Daily metrics: weight, calories, protein, water, fiber, carbohydrates, and exercise
• Height, starting weight, and goal weight

Your side-effect entries and daily notes are not backed up; they stay on your device only.

No Account Required

• No account, email address, phone number, or password is requested
• Your backup is associated with a random, anonymous identifier that Firebase creates for your installation of the app. It is not linked to your name, email, or phone number, and it is not used for tracking or advertising
• Google processes technical information such as your IP address and your device and operating system version when the app signs in, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse

Where It Is Stored and How It Is Protected

• Backups are stored in Google data centers in the European Union (Belgium, europe-west1)
• Data is encrypted by Google in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
• Security rules allow each anonymous identifier to read and write only its own backup
• Unlike iCloud on iOS, this backup sits in a database that we administer. Access is limited to authorized team members and is used only to operate the service, fix problems, or carry out your requests
• Your backup is never sold, never used for advertising, and never sent to any analytics service

One Limitation to Know About

The backup belongs to the installation that created it. Reinstalling the app or moving to a new device creates a new anonymous identifier, and the earlier backup is not restored automatically.

Data Not Linked to Your Identity

Dailivity does not link collected data to your identity.

• No user accounts or registration are required
• No names or email addresses are collected
• No unique identifiers are used for tracking
• Your health data cannot be traced back to you personally
• On Android, the cloud backup is associated only with a random, anonymous Firebase identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or phone number

Third-Party Services

Apple iCloud

If you enable iCloud synchronization, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and governed by Apple’s infrastructure and privacy practices.

Google Firebase (Android app)

The Android app uses Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in) and Cloud Firestore, provided by Google LLC, for its cloud backup. Google provides these services on our behalf as a service provider under the Firebase terms, and does not use or sell your data for its own purposes.

Other Third-Party Services

Dailivity does not use:

• Analytics services
• Advertising networks
• Data brokers
• Social media integrations
• Third-party tracking SDKs

Your Data Rights

You have full control over your data.

Access

• View all data directly within the app at any time

Deletion

• Delete individual records within the app
• Delete all local data by uninstalling the app
• Manage and delete iCloud data via your device’s iCloud settings

In the Android app

• Delete a single dose with “Delete this dose” on its edit screen; it is removed from your device and from the cloud backup
• Settings › Manage My Data › “Delete all my data” permanently erases everything you have recorded from your device and from the Firebase cloud backup. There is no account to close and no request to file
• Uninstalling the app removes the copy on your device but not the cloud backup. Use “Delete all my data” before uninstalling. If you have already uninstalled, email support@dailivity.com with the “Device sync ID” shown under Settings › Data Sync and we will delete the backup

Export & Portability

• Export your data using the app’s backup feature
• Save backups locally or to your iCloud Drive
• On Android, export your data as PDF, CSV, or JSON and send it to any app through the Android share sheet
• Your data always belongs to you

Children’s Privacy

Dailivity does not target children and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

Medical Disclaimer

Dailivity is a health tracking tool, not a medical device.

• The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions
• Do not use this app as a substitute for professional medical care
• In case of a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately

No Tracking in the App

The Dailivity iOS app does not track you. The points below apply to the app; for the measurement cookies used on dailivity.com, see the next section.

The Dailivity Android app does not track you either; every point below applies to the Android app as well.

• No cookies or tracking pixels in the app
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking
• No advertising profiles
• No behavioral monitoring
• Your health data is never sent to any analytics service

International Users

Dailivity is available worldwide. Your data remains:

• On your personal device
• In your personal iCloud account

We do not transfer your data to external servers or third parties.

Android app: Your records are stored on your device and in a cloud backup in Google Firebase data centers in the European Union (Belgium). If you use the app from outside the European Union, your backup is transferred to and stored in the EU.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

• The right to know what personal information is collected
• The right to delete your data
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information

Dailivity does not sell personal information.

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the GDPR, including:

• Right of access
• Right to erasure
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing

Legal Basis for Processing: We process data based on user consent and to provide the app’s core functionality.

Data Retention

• Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app
• iCloud data remains until you remove it from your iCloud account
• We do not retain copies of your data on our servers

In the Android app

• The Firebase cloud backup is kept until you delete it in the app or ask us to delete it
• Uninstalling the app does not delete the cloud backup automatically

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected by:

• Revising the “Last Updated” date
• Posting notices within the app for significant changes
